Before I go to bed…

I have to share this. I just finished this. It took me several hours of struggling to figure out what and how. I’m so excited though. I figured out a new technique on Adobe Elements. I cleared areas of paper with brushes. So sweet! Anyway, this is my latest creation.

A long awaited rest…

I’m on vacation. It feels like forever since I’ve been able to relax and not worry about everything. Don’t get me wrong, I have just gone through something very difficult and trying and it’s been tough to deal with. At the same time, Caleb is very sick. Our poor family is having a rough time of it right now. Something’s changed in me though. Today, I started purging my apartment of stuff. I’m getting rid of everything I don’t use. I’m taking a more active role outside of my home. I’ve become quite a home-body. I’m even trying some of those online dating sites. We’ll see.

So with that in mind today, I took Tarrah for a walk to the park. It’s on the other side of town, so that’s almost 2miles both ways. If I start doing that a few times a week, maybe I can get into better shape. We didn’t stay long, there were geese at the park and I was afraid they would attack Tarrah. She wanted to play with the birdies. But, I got some great pictures. Which is nice.

I haven’t wanted to scrapbook at all this week with everything that is going on. I lost my mojo. But, with these new pics, I think it’s back. I’m so lucky .

The best Mother’s Day present

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day. After I got out of work, I went and picked up Dylan and we met Jenny at Treman Park. Even though Dylan was under the weather, he still had a good time. And I have to say, these pics are the best Mother’s Day present I could have gotten.

The new me?

Okay, so I just wanted to get this out there. I’ve got new glasses! The last pair of glasses I bought was when Dylan was a wee little baby. I think it was time. Everybody loves my new frames, so I’m happy with my choice. I decided to be a little more modern with them and really say, “Hey, look at me! I wear glasses!” Can you tell?

Doll Face

It’s the end of a very long day. Today was my first day back to work after being out sick all week. This morning, before work, I had a bit of luck. I was noticing how extra curly Tarrah’s hair looked today (must be the humidity) and I wanted to document it, because of course I could scrap it later. It was odd. She just sat there and looked at me. No squirming or lunging at the camera. She just let me take the picture. And after uploading the pictures, what I saw, took my breath away. I had to scrap it immediately. I posted in my usualy haunts and one woman said that she thought it was a doll until closer inspection. I think I’ll have to have this one printed and framed. What do ya’ll think?

We Survived!

I can’t believe that Tarrah and I survived the last 5 days. It’s been Hell on earth. It started Friday night in the wee hours of the morning of Saturday. Tarrah started throwing up. My poor baby was sick. It got worse. Two days, 20+ diapers, & loads of dirty laundry later, she was still sicker than a dog. We went to the doc’s on Monday. Useless. “Keep doing what you’re doing.” Another sleepless night and a panic attack, and guess what? It got worse. I woke up sicker than a dog Tuesday morning. So, Tarrah and I lay here, in our little home, all day long, sleeping, and in horrible agony, until about 6pm, when Daddy came with the Tylenol. THANK GOD. By then, my stomach was calmer and the Tylenol helped immensly. Poor Tarrah. She’s still suffering with stomach problems. I’m hoping tomorrow will be brighter and that there is a light at the end of this dark, dark tunnel.

You laugh, but it really was that bad. Anyway, to comemorate this wonderful experience in our lives, what did I do? Of course, I scrapped it! Enjoy!
